I’d charge hourly according to minimum wage, so $8/hour * 6 hours = $48 base price. Then you can raise or lower the price depending on what you think is necessary.

I was thinking this too, actually; I even got in an argument with my brother over it while I was driving him home from school. 

I mean as excited as I am that Wind Waker is getting a second wind of sorts (excuse the pun), the way they overhauled the shading engine doesn’t sit well with me. I feel like there’s too much of a disconnect between the cartoony aesthetic of the game and the comparatively realistic shading/bloom effect that seems to dominate the screenshots I’ve seen of it. It looks less like Wind Waker now and more like somebody took photographs of their Link and Tetra figurines on a tiny plastic model of Outset Island, if that makes any sense.

Though I will admit that I’m REALLY looking forward to seeing how they re-do the music. Some of my favorite video game tracks were from Wind Waker (Dragon Roost Island’s theme and the Molgera battle theme = AMAZING) and I’d love to see how they’d approach redoing them. I mean yeah they updated the tracks a little for SSBB, but I’d like to see if they plan on adding a slightly different twist to the music without just de-MIDI-fying it? I don’t know if that makes any sense or if I’ve got double standards going on or anything, but I’ve got so many Wind Waker feels going on right now that I’m having trouble sorting them out.

The “photos of plastic figures” thing was exactly what I was getting at when I pointed out the characters, but I couldn’t figure out how to phrase it. You’ve hit the nail on the head. You’ve summed up the issues I had with the game much better than I was able to.

I hadn’t even thought about the music, though; that could be interesting [Dragon Roost and Molgera battle are two of my favorite WW tracks, too]. I’ll probably just hunt the tracks down on Youtube after the game’s been out long enough and see if anything’s changed.

*Hugclings back* I’m actually feeling a lot better because of said pasta and Minecraft. I’m just doing a bunch of mindless hoarding in MC and it actually helps a lot to have something easy and repetitive to focus on instead.
